I use Zenko tongue drum for busking on the streets.
It is not heavy (2,8kg) an you can carry it while travelling easily.
The sound is rich in overtones.
Playing with fingers produces not very loud sound, but it depends on your techniques.
But visually the drum looks very lovely and nice.
Definitely, the price for stainless steel is good also

Angefangen hat alles mit einem Unbekannten, der am Frankfurter Mainufer Hang spielte - dieser Klang faszinierte mich von Anfang an. Also habe ich mich erkundigt und herausgefunden, dass so eine Hang praktisch nicht unter 2000 Euro zu haben ist - wenn man überhaupt noch eine bekommt. Bei meinen weiteren Recherchen bin ich dann auf die Instrumente von Zenko gestoßen und habe mir schließlich eine Akebono gekauft - eine gute Entscheidung. Dieses Instrument ist erschwinglich und, noch wichtiger, pentatonisch gestimmt, was für musikalische Laien/Anfänger wie mich geradezu ideal ist: Man kann mehr oder weniger machen, was man will - es klingt tatsächlich immer gut. Was natürlich nicht heißen soll, dass diese Zungentrommel nur für Anfänger geeignet ist - Könner können ihr wahre Zaubermusik entlocken. Ich arbeite dran.
