yeah, but no

So it is supposed to be a 4 unit rack, but... On top there are this pole that holds it together, it is in a way of putting a 1st unit... But, i just got rid off the pole and it is holding together by the unit, so no problem there, unless you want to change units often. 2nd and 3rd unit, ok, BUT in 4th unit, that is in bottom, you can not putt anything that's deeper then few cm... So, not a full 4 unit stand, BUT, it is quite sturdy and really cheap... So basically, it is a 3 unit rack for few euros.

AF
A very badly designed product
Ashain Fernando 14.11.2020
Though the item is described to be a 4U unit, the maximum number of 1U units this can hold is only 2. Though is is very sturdy, the rack is very badly designed.

Very poor design but usable for some things
Clavis Muziek 23.01.2023
I bought this to be able to put my 1U effects processor (Alesis Quadraverb GT) on the ground or next to me when I'm doing a show. It is impossible to insert large machine into this rack. You can only use it for small to medium sized depths. And I estimate no more than 2 or 3 units depending on the depth of your machines. Also a big negative point is the accuracy of the holes. Some of them just are little bit too narrow for the included screws. So be prepared to use a drill to adjust some of the holes a bit.

Not usable
Phonocat 04.02.2020
It's absolutely not usable. It can be used only for very not deep equipment, like level meter etc. Forget hooking up anything deeper than 12cm.

Sturdy, screw holes are not the standard size
CustomerA 26.07.2020
The rack feels sturdy and pretty well built. The only problem is that it only came with 8 screws and you need 16 to fill up the whole rack, so I bought some extra ones but they were too big! Why is this rack designed with non-standard holes? I bought the extra screws from Thomann so naturally, I assumed they'd fit.

so as people may have read there is a bar at the top that you chuck in the bin right away so you can fit a unit in the top. i get a second unit under that and that will be it for full size units . the rack is built like a tank though just wish they had got the angle and design right

Does what it's supposed to do
Lars Erhiff 13.09.2019
It's cheap, assembling it isn't slick, but it's cheap. Use it for a preamp in my home studio, and it works perfectly for that, I'd gladly buy another if I need to rack up more stuff like that.

If anybody looking at that picture believe they can take it on the road, Darwin can have 'em. But if you use it at home in a riskish free environment, feel free to procreate.

Pretty bad but suits my needs perfectly
olicarter 24.05.2019
So I bought this with the Adam Hall 4U Alu panel in an attempt to make my own Teensy-based synth.

I haven't put the top bar on as it gets in the way and wasn't needed for my use case. Though with the front panel screwed on, the large back horizontal bar simply doesn't fit. The design is truly terrible 😄

With that said... to build a lightweight desktop synth that doesn't extend very far back, it seems perfectly rock-solid and can see it lasting for ages! I wouldn't expect something deep (like my Focusrite 18i20 for example) to fit very well though.

You get what you pay for which may work for you, or not.

Sturdy build but the design doesn't feel like it was thought out properly. The two bottom Us don't fit anything as they go down past the feet of the stand. The crossbar at the top is useless as it is placed right across the top rack's screw holes.
