Solid, reasonably priced phaser
Croft 21.03.2018
The Ninety-Orange is about as simple as it gets as far as pedals go; one switch and one knob are the only controls present, yet they're all you need to get ideal phaser tones.

The vintage mode provides a classic "warbly" phaser sound, whilst the modern mode is more akin to music from the 90s and beyond. Both are exactly as advertised and are very versatile.

The knob controls the speed of the phase effect, which does exactly what it says on the tin, an easy five stars for handling in that regard. The pedal loses a few stars as far as features go, as a little more control over the sound wouldn't go amiss- for a miniature sized pedal though, the Ninety-Orange does a superb job.

I can't really fault the sound quality, though as other reviewers have mentioned you may notice a slight drop in volume when cranking the speed knob.

Overall, I'd say for the price this is the best mini phaser on the market right now. Fantastic value for money, a decent range of sounds and superb build quality at a fraction of the price of big brand pedals offering the same thing.

I needed it for one sound and it does that one sound well.
James_G 30.12.2019
I needed to get a pedal that would do a slow subtle phase, and the Ninety Orange does that perfectly. The quality is as good as you'd expect from any Mooer pedal and it fits on the pedalboard nicely.

Great copy of the original!
jfbat 31.12.2018
It'll be no big secret for most guitarists, that this is a copy of a very famous phaser. Actually: of two well known phasers: both the 90 and the 45 version are (kind of) incorporated in this pedal. And all that in a tiny package!

Though this is an affordable copy, it's well built, despite it's size operating the knobs is actually very doable and most important of all: it sounds great!

The only quibble I have is that it's narrow build makes it prone to topple over if you step on it, so attaching it to a board is kind of a necessity.

The vintage mode is really great
Anonymous 31.05.2016
I'm really a big fan of Mooer pedals but this particular one is really great. I was on the look out for a phaser pedal for my new band and stumbled across this one. The Ninety Orange pedal has a great sound to it and is so compact it's easy to fit into my extremely crowded pedal board. I prefer the vintage mode but there's also the modern mode, which makes this phase more versatile than the other phaser out there. Another great thing about this pedal is like half the price of the other phasers out there. It's half and price and comparable or maybe even better than the MXR 90 Phase.
