Loving the ease of use and continued vibe
VilleV, 27.08.2019
I bought this to replace my 2002-bought 2408mk3 & 24i/o in my mainly dance music production studio and it's doing a great job at it. Obviously there are not as many inputs and outputs as I previously had, but I don't currently need as many, and can expand later if need be. Setup was relatively easy and the sound quality is in great. Can't find any negatives to mention, and for my purposes I'm very happy with the pres and at the moments these feeding my Genelec 8351s I feel my Logic-based setup is simple, sweet and well-functioning.

The best Audio Interface!
23.04.2016
This is the best Audio Interface without a doubt! I own MOTU 896 MK3 (Firewire) with CueMix which I think is not my best friend but MOTU 1248 web based app is excellent and intuitive! For now I use it via USB but later in 2016 I intend to buy Apple MacBook Pro newest generation with Thunderbolt to connect and use it on stage as well as in my personal studio. Believe me, I have noticed pristine clear 24 bit 48 kHz audio quality better than the 896 MK3 thanks to the newest Sabre converters which are best in the industry from the moment I switched it on! Also, preamplification gain on all channels are exceptional and noise is nowhere to be noticed! Updating is so easy via USB or cat5 LAN and the latest is the greatest! My hat off to MOTU wholeheartedly!

Great Unit - software is quirky on my 2008 Mac Pro
Earthcarmusic, 18.11.2014
This unit has enabled me to simplify my project studio as routing and mixing can all be done in software. I do have a problem on my 2008 Mac Pro where the AVB Discovery app need coaxing to get it to work. I have a workaround and the unit is working fine, but I have had to contact MOTU to get help to see if I can get the software opening more reliably. Once this problem is solved, I will be more than satisfied with this product.

Dommage.
