MXR Iso Brick - does what its says
JohnWalsh 20.04.2020
This is used on a pedal board, powering 15 pedals

Pros

1/ Plenty of power - all the pedals fire up, no glitching or issues around current.

2/ Flexibility - From pretending to be a dud battery in a fuzz to an 18V headroom compressor, this handle pretty much everything

3/ Discreet - Fits snuggly in the board, light and doesn't get in the way

4/ Reliable - not a single issue with the brick, PSU or any connectors

5/ Clean Power - I use power through on a couple of pedals and a daisy chain for overdrives, meaning although this has 10 outputs, it runs considerably more pedals and no noise

Cons

1/ 18V outputs are 18V only - if you don't have 18V pedals, you end up effectively with an 8 output power brick

2/ PSU - some might prefer an integrated PSV and kettle lead rather than the wallwart PSU and skinny cable to the brick

Conclusion - this is a great product for what it is. For a pro, they would probably want something tougher, more roadworthy

However for home us, jamming, gigging, it would appear to do the job very well indeed

Amazing Power Supply
Nathan. 26.03.2022
It is what it is. You get 10 outputs and that is more than enough for a general board. No massive issues.

Would recommend making sure the power supply is connected to the board before turning it on. It will spark if you plug it in while the socket is connected

It does what it's supposed to do and more!

There are six 9 volt outputs, two 18 volt outputs, and two variable outputs, which are all isolated from each other. The variable outputs allow you to experiment with different voltages between 6 volt to 15 volt. different voltages can create interesting sounds with overdrive and fuzz. The main benefit of isolated outputs is that you can power 2 (or more) pedals that shouldn't be powered with the same output separately (for example: in most cases you shouldn't power more than 1 digital effect with the same output because this can create noise).
The only disadvantage to me is that the iso brick is powered with an AC adaptor instead of a three pin power cable like other power distributors (example "T-rex fuel tank").

Defective
Anonymous 11.10.2016
I Have owned two of these now both of them breaking with only light moderate usage. Nothing wrong with pedals plugged into them, no red led indicating poor connection just inputs slowly ceasing to work and a smell of burning plastic - may be dangerous who knows might burn your house down.

Don't waste your money!
