Like all pedals this does some things well & other not so much.
Having the 2 dry and fx knobs is very handy so you can dial in the right amount of either, this feature is always noticably missed when absent from a pedal.
Although there are only 3 presets included in the manual, these are also useful as there are 5 knobs to adjust & you could end up spending quite a while to locate the various sounds you might desire. Honestly none of the 3 presets did much for me, this is often the case with suggested settings but theyre a fine start point from which you can direct yourself. I havent the pedal in front of me so i cant share settings but once i found my sound I didnt touch the controls again. The flea & chad jam on youtube was the reason I discovered & sought after an envelope filter...
XXX (4.55 mins in) & it does do this sound well, of course it doesnt make you sound like flea ! An unexpected advantage to the pedal was the sensitivity control, a useful control & the pedal is very sensitive to the dynamics of your playing. There is a big difference between a light & heavy handed touch & made me think more about the dynamics of my own playing in general. On the negative side, although ive done no damage to mine yet as i use it so sparingly I was surprised at the built quality, a plastic cover & the engage switch also seems flimsy. To conclude, definitely a solid pedal but probably over priced. Due to the music I play i dont get to use it in songs, rather a toy to have in the house, but a fun toy to play with indeed !
