Nux Mighty Space

On the Internet, it is hard to find an in-depth analysis of this device. I bought it under the assumption that I would test it on my own and return it as a last resort. So starting from the beginning:

1. speakers- the quality of the speakers is very good. they play a wide spectrum, when connected to a computer via usb and using the built-in equalizer you can get very good sound quality. you can also use it successfully as a boombox on bluetooth- here a lot depends on the codec the phone supports. The amp itself does not support atpx hd. Many reviews on the web assess that the sound is muddy but it is a matter of connecting with the wrong codec or poor equalization.

2. the quality of simulation of amplifiers and drives- from the amplifier you can get great sounds. Some very great. The problem is that most simulations completely do not reflect the "real" effects on which they were modeled. When we read "brit 800" or "screamer" we know more or less what to expect, but this amp does not offer us that. The sounds do not correspond to the names. There are also some simulations from which I didn't manage to get a good sound at all. In addition, the parameters of overdrives and amps do not work as we are used to - master volume does not "drive the tubes", but only controls the volume. The "presence" potentiometer often has to be turned up to 80% for the sound not to be muddled. HOWEVER, if you take the time to learn how the knobs work + with the help of an equalizer, you can get some really really great results.

3. amp cabinets simulations - built-in simulations are weak. however, we can upload our own. the first better IR response from the Internet on the v30 and sm37 / r121 microphones and the sound becomes 300% better.

4. application from the manufacturer is ok, 100 times better than THR, it is stable and does not break. However, the real claw of the amp shows when using the fan app mightier amp. There is the possibility to save an infinite number of presets, plug in a bluetooth midi footswitch to control whatever you want (switching presets or turning effects on and off).

5. additional functionalities such as drum-machine, looper work great, the amp is richly equipped (wireless system, footswitch).

The amplifier was cross-checked with a Yamaha THR30II and I think it wins over it in every possible way (except for the intuitiveness of sounding cranking on specific simulations)

my final rating is 8/10. if the simulation knobs behaved in an intuitive way and the names given by the manufacturer to the effects reflected the originals I would give 10/10

Thomann is well known for its fantastic service. The team reached to tell me that the whole order was going to be dispatched when the amp was on stock so no problem from this side.

The amp is loud. And i assume it can be even louder if you plug in to a cabinet.

The amp is rich on features and there is even a 3rd party app (mightier amp) that has even more features, for example setting an external midi device (Bluetooth or usb midi support)

While not all the modeling amps are useful or with good sounding, i am impressed with the sound of the dual rectifier modelling. The time bases effects are stereo so you can have this ping pong effect if you want.

Probably the only down side (i am not 100% sure of this) is the fact that running an external cabinet will be only mono, unless you use the headphone out directly to FOH. And also even when is stereo, is not possible to run a dry/wet signal, but for the price i think is fair enough.

Ich bin bereits seit ca. 2 Jahre im Besitz von der Mighty Air und bin damit voll zufrieden. Nun dachte ich mir, ich könnte etwas lauteres auch gut gebrauchen, und die Entscheidung fiel ziemlich leicht auf den Mighty Space.
Die Features sind im Großen und Ganzen fast die gleichen, doch der Space hat jetzt einen Looper, Footswitch .. und ein Tuner (seit dem letzten FW update) on Board :)
Laut ist er auch! Den "Air" habe ich meist mit Kopfhörer gespielt, doch der "Space" macht echt Laune auch ohne! Sehr ausgewogener und druckvoller Klang. Die Lautsprecher sollen FR FR sein...
Der Amp ist sehr solide verarbeitet, hat einen Metallgitter, die Potis drehen sehr geschmeidig - Top!

Ich kann den Amp wirklich nur empfehlen. Preislich gesehen ist er nicht ganz günstig, doch wenn man bei Roland oder Yamaha vorbeischaut und die Features vergleicht bekommt man hier doch viel mehr geboten - denke man allein an dem drahtlosen Empfänger.
Der Speaker Out ist auch ein Highlight. Jetzt überlege ich sogar mir eine HB G212 Plus Vertical zu holen und so einen Ministack aus dem Paar zu machen.
Mit dem Thirdparty App "Mightier Amp" lassen sich sogar MIDI Controller anschliessen und programmieren!

Alles in einem klare Kaufempfehlung für mich!
