As sexy as guitar can get

Beautiful guitar that makes me want to play every time I look at it. Very clear and warm sound, especially when you play gently. I was expecting it to project sound a bit more (that's why 4 stars for sound), but it's enough for studio/home. You can always plug it in, it sounds great via cable. Quality finish, well made. Just love playing it.

Received 2 times guitar with bad mounting of the neck :(

Verry disapointed in the CE44-RR that i ordered...
The first guitar i returned had a bad mounting of the neck. Therefore i returned the guitar to Thomann. After a week a received my new guitar but.... It was another guitar with the same problem :(

Alles, was man sich wünscht

Ich gebe es zu: habe mich in die Optik bereits vor Jahren verliebt. Das waren noch Zeiten, als die Ovation in den USA gebaut wurde und war dementsprechend teuer.
Nach und nach verschwanden die Gitarren aus den lokalen Musikgeschäften, angeblich wegen den Vertriebsbedingungen...
Somit beschränkten sich meine Recherchen auf das Internet und die Ovation mutierte für mich immer mehr zu einem Mythos, das ich eher wegen der Optik, als wegen dem Sound ins Herz geschlossen habe.
Als langjähriger Kunde von THOMANN wurde ich natürlich auch auf die Roundback Gitarren aufmerksam. An dieser Stelle muss ich einen Fehler zugeben, der mich vom Kauf meiner Traumgitarre jahrelang abgehalten hat und dies ist auch der Grund, warum ich mich entschlossen habe, eine ausführliche Rezension zu schreiben, um euch von gleichem Irrtum zu bewahren!
Ich dachte: eine Ovation für unter 400 Euro aus China, dass kann nichts sein!
In den Pfingstferien nahm ich ein paar Tage Urlaub und fuhr persönlich zum THOMANN.

Nach 5 Minuten war es erledigt. Der Soung fett und erdig. Der Klang, eben Ovation. Elektrisch (kann man auch ausprobieren) absolut klar und kraftvoll. Der Hals/Griffbrett ist für mich optimal, da ich E-Gitarren Hälse gewohnt bin.
Die aufgezogenen Saiten waren ein Bißchen zu dick (klar, bringt einen fetten Sound), aber auch mit einer Extra Light Version bringt der "Chinese" genug Power
und klingt "Ovationmäßig" genug...
Die Verarbeitung ist "erste Sahne" und bringt mich auf einen Gedanken: Wohin soll es nur mit uns gehen, wenn die Asiaten in diesem Low-Price Kampf derartige Produkte hervorbringen? O.K. diesmal denke ich nur an mich und mein Geldbeutel: ist mir Wurst! Macht weiter so!
