Bargain for the price
Anonymous 21.07.2016
I've tried lots of mid-cheap acoustic guitars before deciding to buy this one and I must say: I've played more expensive guitars that sounded and felt a lot worse than this model.
The neck feels awesome, dimensions are perfect, sounds amazing (for the price of course).

Beware: this guitar is not intended to be played standing! It's just impossible to play standing, you HAVE to sit down to play it because of the rounded back (just a tip for non Ovation fans).

When arrived the set up was perfect, played it a lot before changing the strings. The built in amp is quiet good, not the best, but does its job. I do prefer the mic on this particular model tho.

So, perfect for beginners who want a good sounding, well made and really good looking acoustic guitar (the koa top looks amazing!) or a nice backup guitar for intermediate/professional players.

PS: Made in China doesn't mean it's terrible!

Present for my teen son and upgrade from his first guitar. Since receiving it he has disappeared into his room like a hermit only appearing to eat and check soccer scores. From the hours of playing and the fact that his console has been abandoned, I can only conclude that this guitar had been a big hit with him.

CH
GUITAR IS DARK BROWN IN REAL LIFE COMPARED TO PICTURES - LOOKS FANTASTIC
Civil Hedgehog 11.09.2023
I love this guitar. It plays so well, sounds great, and looks incredible.
I was surprised when I got it; I thought they sent the wrong model, but I checked all the serial numbers and model code, and it was all correct.
The guitar is a much deeper warm brown in real life, it might be the lighting for the pictures on here, but just know that the colour is incorrect, but still looks beautiful, and the wood grain is just like the pictures.
I've had no ergonomic issues playing it sitting down like some people are suggesting, I wear regular jeans.
The tuners are a little rough, a lot of friction, but certainly workable and don't actually come in the way of getting it in tune, they just don't feel great.
Apropos tuning, the guitar intonates perfectly, checked with a tuner. So that's great, since it's obviously not adjustable.

All in all fantastic, DI sounds like you would expect, very stringy, but not thin. Very well balanced, and would work great for live.

A
a good choice

I bought this guitar and kept it for a few days. Generally speaking, this guitar is a good mid-range guitar with the features you can possibly think of. The only problem comes from my fingers, not the guitar. My fingers are not strong enough so I felt like the frets are blocking my way when I do the sliding. Other than that, there's nothing to worry about. But that's just me. When it comes to buying a guitar, the buyer should try it out first hand, and just take whatever suits them the most.
