Insufficient isolation (for my needs)
Anonymous 01.02.2017
Pros: great price, small, plenty of juice, flexible

Cons: wall wart, no on/off switch, insufficient isolation

I was pretty impressed with this overall when I first found and got this. Unfortunately, I started having some noise issues from one of my pedals in pretty extreme situations. I have a bunch of pedals daisychained at 12v and realized that high gain pedals were causing noise in one of my 18v pedals. Troubleshooting revealed that it was an isolation issue. I tried combining two of the 9v outlets, but was getting faults...which also turned out to be an isolation issue. So, this power supply has helped me realize that a lot of the Mooer pedals sound great at 12v, but unfortunately it doesn't quite meet my needs.

The description, and even the manual, is not super clear on this, in my opinion. Ports A&B are isolated from the other six ports, but A&B are not isolated from each other, and neither are the six other outlets. This may or may not be an issue for you, but it will probably lead to me returning it and using my Harley Benton power plant jr.'s a little longer before eventually buying something more expensive (currently out of stock). Bummer!

Could be better but does the job.

I use this as the main power source in my pedal board. Amp I use is Koch Studiotone 20. I get my drive tone from the amp, so I don't use drive pedals.

+ quiet. Doesn't add too much extra noise on its own
+ solid build for the money
+ lots of outputs
+ 2 outputs that go up to 18V

- the 2 iso-outputs are isolated from the other 6, but NOT ISOLATED FROM ONE ANOTHER (at least not to my knowledge), which the product description doesn't mention. Usually, this is not a problem, but for some, it can be.
- I have a DigiTech Jamman and whenever I use it, I need to use the iso-output, because the unit picks up a lot of scratchy digital noise otherwise
- the cables supplied with the unit have right-angled plugs only at one end. I would have preferred on both ends, as you pretty much need to use the right-angle ones into the unit and straight ones into the pedals - which is not optimal at all
- only 150mA of juice per outlet. This might limit your pedal choices.
- I'd have preferred a solid power cable instead of a flimsy adapter

Perfect little power supply
DDost 01.05.2021
There's not much bad to be said about Palmer power supplies.
At first I never thought it mattered which supply you bought. But with Palmer I found out how nice it is to have one that does not hiss, hum or crack. These power supplies are Solid with a capital S. I also had the Palmer PWT 12 mk2. Same story: they just work. And quietly at that.
To me the price is very fair. The supplies are compact, they fit under your pedal board if it's inclined.
The plug it comes with is an adapter with a small supple cable. Which is a lot more convenient than a big heavy cable that pops out all the time.

All in all very happy with the Palmer power supplies, would buy again 100%!

Must have for medium-size pedalboard
Anonymous 21.02.2017
This power supply is used in my pedalboard, which currently consists of 7 pedals.

The most important feature is that two outputs have switcheble voltage at 500mA. For me it is very important, since I have a compact power amp right in the pedalboard. It is AMT TC-3, which consumpts exactly 500mA, and requires 18V.

The second switchable output is run at 9V for Whammy Ricochetm which has consumption about 300mA.

So, this small power supply allows to create a whole full-featured amp in the pedalboard format.

Highly recomended for those who want have all-in one pedalboard of medium size.
