Amazing!

I believe this is the best hi-hat stand you can buy opposed to anything even near it's price. It is SOLID and very smooth to play. It slides away a little bit from time to time, but that's because I rarely play on a drum rug.

J
Great

What a great stand, arrived quickly as normal from thomann. The stand is very sturdy and is made to a very high standard and quality usually what you would expect from Pearl. The long footboard is excellent and has a great sturdy feel. The spring tension means you can adjust the pedal to your preference and has great adjustments, Also the pedal comes with a great clutch. You can change the footboard from long to short which adds to the adjustability. The pedal is also very fast and responsive, and for the money its alot of stand for the price, a great upgrade well worth it.

Top marks all round for this hi-hat stand!

A sturdy feeling stand which offers 3 double braced legs and a pedal which is collapsible but not flimsy as well as thick rubber feet to ensure that it's not going to move around on you. This model includes adjustable spring tension which is the only real difference between it and the cheaper 830 so it really depends on how much versatility you want from your hi-hat stand; not essential, but if you play more than one style this is a feature you may want to consider.

Great basic stand.

I bought this to replace the hi hat stand that came with my Pearl Export kit 25yrs ago! I've long since replaced the kit but never the hardware.

I didn't appreciate what a difference the new stand could make... although it is heavier (double braced), and I prefer the clutch on the old stand (which I might actually continue to use), the response is extraordinarily positive a the legs turn around to make placement very easy. The footboard is long and the feel is good.

I haven't had it long, but I think it was the right purchase... I'm glad I stayed with Pearl as the quality has been excellent and I never had a single problem in a quarter of a century. I intend never ever to replace my Pearl cymbal stands.
