Nachdem ich Dirk Brand mit diesem Set bei einer Live-Session sah, habe ich mir das Pearl STS spontan und direkt in Treppendorf gekauft. Service und Kundenfreundlichkeit wie immer hervorragend bei Thomann!
Das Schlagzeug überzeugt mit einem tiefen, basslastigen Grundton bei lsehr eigenständigem Charakter. Der Sound ist voluminös und professionell. Es lohnt sich, beim Stimmen etwas zu probieren.
Ich empfehle dieses Set ausnahmslos, besonders an Drummer, die mit etwas mehr punch und Lautstärke unterwegs sind.
Die Verarbeitung der Kessel und Hardware ist wie immer bei Pearl sehr gut, lediglich die Kanten der Bassdrum-Spannreifen sind etwas scharfkantig. Preis / Leistung stimmen!
Fazit: Klare Empfehlung wenn man ‚wuchtige‘ Alternativen zum Maple-Sound sucht.
Übrigens habe ich das Set mit Zultan Becken aus der Q-Serie kombiniert. Passen perfekt dazu!
