icing on the cake

I bought this cabinet to drive my 200 watt amp (dropping the impedance down to 4 ohms) and to point it towards me (like a studio monitor).
A cabinet this small sounds enough for my purposes, but I wouldn't use this cabinet without the support of another cabinet with larger speakers.
It has enough mid and high frequencies, but lacks low frequencies.
The tc e BAM200 amplifier was not able to load this cabinet with low frequencies enough, with a more powerful amplifier (tc e BQ250) the cabinet sounds noticeably better: more low frequencies.
My takeaway: This is a decent studio monitor given its size it sounds incredible.
It's not worth playing only through it alone.
Bonus: if you sit closer to it in hot weather, the cabinet speakers will blow over you no worse than a fan.
It's nice that you can connect it not only with speakOn, but also with a jack (a combined connector is used).
I called my experience "icing on the cake". This cabinet will perfectly complement your large cabinet, adding beautiful mids and highs and adding volume to your system.

I've had this cab for a while now and thought I'd share my thoughts on it. Mostly play with a 5-string and a Markbass LM 250. Ranging from flatwound strings and motown to acoustic to agressive fuzz, this cab will work for all of that.

How does it sound?
It is a neutral sounding cab, doesn't really colour the sound in any way. A good representation of the sound that you put into it. Doesn't drop off on the low end as some other small cabs do.

How light is it?
Extremely. It is also small. Very easy to carry.

How loud is it?
Well, I have used it in a small room with a loud drummer, 2 guitars and vocal, and it sort of pulled it off but not really. And that's fine, because that is not the intended use for this cab. I've used it a bunch of times to play in the rhythm section of a small horn band, works wonders. Playing with acoustic instruments, giving a volume boost to your upright, a blues trio, restaurant gigs etc. is where this thing will shine. If you want to rock out and make some noise, get something bigger.

Conclusion: if you need a cab that is actually small and lightweight, look no further.

Best small gig pal
monoclue 01.12.2020
I use it as home practice and small gigs and it fits perfectly in all these situations.

Pro:
+ the sound quality is nothing less than what PJB always offers
+ it is super light, the lightest cab I have ever tried
+ the size is small to so you can put it somewhere without stealing too much room

Cons:
- it does not fit very well on top of other PJB cabs, this one is smaller a little bit.

Overall, I recommend it, the price is good so it is super useful to take it with you everywhere.

A
Nice speaker let down by build quality
Anonymous 20.09.2022
I bought one of these as i already have both a Cab 27 and an Earbox that are useful for travelling to gigs in London because of their size. The concept PJB have is a good one, however the C2 speaker i bought must have been built just before clocking out time on a Friday. Internal bracing pieces (made of MDF) fell out of the speaker through the vent when i unpacked it. I had to decide whether it was worth just boxing and sending back or fixing myself. I chose the latter and probably voided any warranty. Anyway these bracing pieces had come adrift from in side the cab from both screws and glue. Clearly poor manufacturing and quality control. The packaging show no sign of delivery damage at all. The speaker sounds fine after my repair and has been gigged a couple of times, but the poor QC has left me wary of buying a £300 speaker cab that might not be put together that well.

a little cab with huge sound

works like magic, sounds like a mountain.
PJB's well known quality is confirmed even in this little cabinet, providing an incredible sound and range - producer's documentation states it goes down to 30Hz, as opposed to site specs.

A Tiny Titan!

What a beast! I was so impressed at the sound of this little cabinet. It handles the low B remarkably well, with a punchy rull range of the frequencies you want, and no errant ones. Very immediate response from these small drivers. It can probably handle way more than the practice I'm using it for, but I can't comment on it, as I've never needed to push it past maybe 20%.
Build is super sturdy and solid.
I was so impressed, I got the 4-speaker version for rehearsals and that blows everything I use up to now out of the water.
