Presonus ioStation 24c

My observations after two months of using the device ... And I want to say right away for those who plan to purchase it, do not think that it can replace your mouse. This is just a beautiful illusion. Yes, having tried the station in managing most of the functions, you will never want to return to the mouse for these functions. But all small operations with sound files are undoubtedly more convenient to do with a mouse. If the manufacturer would have guessed, put such a convenient manipulator as a trackball into the device, then for sure, the mouse can be thrown away. But this did not happen, and I realized that the mouse is no less an ingenious invention!) However, pressing the buttons on the station requires effort and habit. Management is rather slow. But there is an advantage, your hand receives a variety of stress, and you reduce the risk of getting a hand disease such as tunnel syndrome. Moreover, you still entertain yourself a little by pressing different buttons and self-study. It's a little fun! The assembly is not of the highest quality. The upper metal panel has a rather sharp and unpleasant burr on the bottom. The connectors are not very strong. The button for turning on the station, like in a cheap Chinese radio. The twists have different degrees of penetration. But the buttons on the front are pretty well done and work great. And without a doubt, the Electromechanical Volume Automation Feder is divine!

Ich habe die letzten 2 Jahre mit einem Presonus Faderport V2 mit meinem Studio One Programm gearbeitet und wollte den Umstieg auf die neue ioStation 24c wagen, da ich hierbei für mich das praktische gesehen habe. (DAW Controller mit eingebautem Motorfader + einem eingebauten Audio Interface mit Record Funktion!).
Nach langem überlegen habe ich das Faderport verkauft und mir die neue ioStation bestellt.

Punkt 1 Lieferung:
Ich habe die Ware wie von Thomann bereits gewohnt sorgenfrei und zuverlässig binnen 3 Tagen geliefert bekommen. Das Produkt war wie von Presonus gewohnt klasse und sehr sicher verpackt. Keine Beschädigungen vorhanden.

Punk 2 das Produkt selbst:
Ich habe es jetzt bereits seit über 3 Wochen im Dauerbetrieb getestet und kann euch darüber nun folgendes berichten:

a) Qualität: Das Gehäuse ist sehr solide verarbeitet und wirkt für diese Preisklasse sehr hochwertig. Der Motorfader funktioniert tadellos. Die Köpfe sind mit einem härteren Gummi bestückt welches sich hochwertig anfühlt. Die Bedienelemente reagieren wunderbar auch bei leichtem drücken.
-eventuell einziges Manko, auf der Unterseite des Gehäuses spürt man leicht schärfere Kanten, die nicht absolut sauber verarbeitet wurden. (ist aber meckern auf hohem Niveau ;) )

b) Anwendung in der Praxis: Ich verwende die ioStation in meinem Homestudio sowohl als Audiointerface für Mikrofon Aufnahmen als auch als DAW Controller und muss sagen, es lässt sich bereits nach dem ersten Anstecken sofort in die DAW integrieren (Studio one 5 Professional)
Das Gerät hat zudem eine sehr niedrige Latenz!!

Mit ein bisschen Feingefühl lässt sich das angesteckte Mikro mit dem Drehregler für den Lautstärken Pegel sehr leicht feinjustieren und man kann damit sehr schöne Aufnahmen machen. (easy tu use!).


Fazit, es ist auf jeden Fall sein Geld wert und ich empfehle es sehr gerne weiter.
