Does the job

These are overpriced, made mostly of plastic, and don't feel like a very high quality item.

I've bought three of these, and they have the same problem — the boutique will not snap into place when closed, no matter how hard I press down. I always have to pick it up and squeeze the middle of the underside to get it to actually click into place. For some reason this problem doesn't occur with any of the boutiques that include a matching dock (TR-08, TR-09, and TB-03) — only the ones where you have to buy the DK-01 separately.

Otherwise they work fine. As long as I make sure they click down when closed, pressing the button in the back reliably pops up the low and high stands. Without the dock they aren't nearly as nice to use, so if you aren't going to use the K-25M keyboard, and you can live with paying more it they should cost, I recommend this anyway.

Neat but expensive
Anonymous 24.02.2017
I've got a collection of Boutiques and most stay boxed for most of the time.

I have only one K-25m and it has become permanently docked with my VP-03 - probably because it helps to have the keyboard close to the mic and the use of the vocoder doesn't demand a large pitch range.

Most of the time only one other Boutique (JP-08/JU-06/JX-03) is on my studio desktop, controlled by my Casio CZ-5000 keyboard.

Sitting beside my VP-03/K-25m, it now looks so much more "finished" in the DK-01.

So really, although there is the same tilting capability as the K-25m, the main reason I bought the DK-01 was one of aesthetics. And I'm perfectly happy with that.

It's just quite expensive for what it is.

Relief to work with, could use chaining feature
Silvermonk 10.05.2019
These docks have an inclined mode where the control panels face you instead of being flat on your desk, good overview, sturdy feel when working the tiny controls of th boutiques. Would have been nice to have been able to easily attach a few of these together, now they just move around after a while and one has to re-align them daily.

High price - low quality
Synthscape 20.10.2023
I have bought it again and again for every one of my boutique synths, but only because i need it and there is no other similar option. It is made of thin flimsy plastic that bends easily and does not click into place without effort. It works, but the price is too high for this low quality.
