Amazing headphones
Coming from the classic HD25s, this is a very clear upgrade. There's very few reviews online about it, but those saying the two headphones sound the same, they really don't. The HD26 improves on the HD25s by a lot. Sound separation and depth is very evident. Bass is not as strong. When comparing both, I can only summarize as the HD26 sound very clear and precise and the HD25s sound muffled, like there's a wall between you and the audio. You can also drive these headphones a lot easier despite it having 100 ohms. I keep my headphone volume on my Focusrite at 25% or below.
One thing I disliked was the auto opening headband as it could never fit my head right. Luckly they do include an option to change from the auto opening one to a unified single one. So if you're on the fence of getting a pair mainly for that reason, they give an option to change headbands. Another dislike are the on ear earcups. That was to be expected before buying. I never particularly liked the HD25 earcups either until I changed the earpads. Something to keep in mind.

Blown away
I am completely blown away from the quality of the sound.
I use them for live playing but they are amazing in production / mixing.
One of the best headphones I have ever tried.

Really great sound, bit different to the the HD - 25's more bass but still balanced. Way comfier to wear than the HD - 25's too and better cable.

Better than the HD-25 II
The only other studio headphones I ever used are the HD-25.
The bass are not as present as on the HD-25.
On the other hand, can distinct any instrument clearly.
To me they sound way better, they are also much more comfortable.
On long session, after a couple of hours, they can also hurt your ears a bit But less than the HD-25.
I mainly use them to make electronic music and record vocals. I also use them for gaming.
And I must say I'm quite happy with my purchase :)

Good Choice
HD25 is already very accurate for people who often work as sound engineers. But after buying HD26, I found it is a more advanced headphone.

The ideal headphone for mixing
As said many other studio people before, this headphone is one of the best for mixing. Instead of having a fully detailed monitor headphones (what is really great when you are recording and want to hear every detail during your playing) you get a headphone sounds like a fantastic speaker over your ears. Thats why the hd-26 pro is the best among those studio hp.
I recommend this item for every serious studio geek who also playing and recording every day!

Great headphones
Used for live audio during the past two years. Never had an issue with them. Ideal impedance for the pro sound desks.
