Looking for an upgraded sound

I have bought and electric guitar that everything in it is perfect except the sound. It was no well defined, no sharp nor nice trebles. It was too soft and I like to play more like lead guitar than rythm guitar. So, after reading a lot of opinions about pickups for electric guitars, I choiced Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickup. Now the guitar sound has nothing to do with the old one. It is much more brilliant and well defined. That's exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve never tried these pickups before since I’m a beginner guitarist with a passion for modding. I’ve done some research online and kept seeing these pickups being mentioned multiple times with good reviews overall so decided to make the jump and give them a try. I’ve installed them in my PRS SE custom 24 and boy oh boy they rock AF. I wanted a classic rock sounding pickups that can also split coil and be more versatile with a vintage sounding, and that’s literally what you get with these pops.

Der Pearly Gates ist einer der teuersten konventionellen PUs von Duncan, nicht ohne Grund m.E. Er ist vielseitiger als sein "Vetter", der 59er. Er hat etwas mehr Dampf, ist etwas wilder und hat mehr Mitten und Harmonics. Gesplittet auch ein sehr angenehmes Klangbild, das sich mit dem Vintage Single Coil, aber auch mit dem Alnico 2 SC von Duncan in einer HSH-Konfiguration gut versteht. Auf 22-bündigen Gitarren klingt der Hals-PU selbstverständlich anders, als auf 24-bündigen. Auf den 24ern ist er noch eine Nummer wilder, weil die Harmonics wirklich mühelos oder als Nebeneffekt erzeugt werden können (pinch harmonics). Es versteht sich von selbst, dass die Klänge von Billy Gibbons ohne Probleme zu erzeugen sind.
Über die Verarbeitung kann man nichts sagen, vorbildlich. Verkabelung, Vernickelung, Montage, alles tadellos. Auch die Verpackung. Es ist die gewohnte Plastikschachtel für Sets mit Lötanweisung und Befestigungsmaterial. Allerdings ohne Rähmchen.
Der Versuch sie in eine SG einzubauen war ebenfalls erfolgreich. Die PUs passen auch zu ihr.em Charakter
