Powerful lights but limited DMX options
Steven556 05.01.2017
I use these lights primarily as crowd blinders during various songs during gigs I play. The lights do exactly what I want them to do which is to light up the dancefloor when I want the crowd to sing back.

The only issue I have is that the DMX options are limited. I have a system where I have setup scenes to work with other lighting but the scenes I setup don't along me to individually set up a scene for the blinders. If I want to set up a fade in/out effect or a strobe effect I have to do it manually. However there are programs built in that are controlled by DMX but not through scenes you can create.

All-in-all a very reliable and sturdy light and fits well in storage.

Showtec Sunstrips
Sam742 25.07.2016
Wow, just wow. These lights are amazing. I have bought both the active and standard sunstrips, and I love both of them. The active fixture allows multiple channel modes, so you can run it on 1 channel or 10. 10 Channel mode allows all 10 bulbs to be controlled independently so when pixel mapping, can create some amazing effects with multiple fixtures. The are considerably heavier than the non DMX version, but that can be expected due to the built in dimmer. It has powercon in & out as well as DMX in & out, which leaves it pretty flexible.

bought 2 of these last year & just ordered another 2. very good build quality, quick setup & very effective. I use them dimmed during most of the show, providing some background effect, then as blinders when needed

Purchased 16 Units
Anonymous 14.03.2017
I purchased 16 units and am generally very happy with my order. One of my technicians had to fix a faulty on-off switch, and another fixture needed to be opened up a a ribbon cable plugged in as it had popped out.

Excellent quality and light output but Thoman didn't even reply to my email outlining these issues.
