RS
Chic technologies of the future
Ross Stranger 10.12.2020
The VSX is more than headphones, it's your professional studio with high quality audio monitoring.
Use
I am mixing my songs at home, in a room that is not very prepared for this. I have ADAM AUDIO T7V monitors (they are very high quality), but for greater accuracy I needed something else. After looking at the options, I decided to buy a VSX.
When I first listened to the VSX, I do not understand sound, and took off the headphones. After 40 minutes, I put on the headphones again, turned on the music, and it seemed to me that I had not turned off the monitors, but then I remembered that I had not turned them on. At that moment I realized that the VSX really create a sense of space, as if I'm in the studio.
Sound quality
VSX sounds very clear, all the details are heard. If you switch between headphone linear sound and studio emulation, it becomes different, the sound is not played right next to your ears, but is pushed to the sides and forward, and it becomes easier for you to see the sound picture. When I listen to music in VSX and look at the monitors, it's easy to imagine that the sound is coming from them, it is very similar to the feeling when I actually listen to monitors.
Build quality
The headphones are very high quality, lightweight and comfortable.
Advice
If you don't like the sound when you first listen to the VSX, don't be discouraged. Give your brain some time, because it has never heard this before. Once your brain understands what that sound is, you have incredible mixing possibilities.

N
Extremely revealing
NPN80 01.12.2020
So basically these headphones emulate top real-world studios - how the speakers sound in those rooms. Not all of them sound pleasant but each room offers a valuable feedback - the near-field emulations reveal problems in the mid range, the far fields can reveal across the entire spectrum and the car and club give an unprecedented feedback on the low end (no punch? - then the mix is not good enough. distorted low end? - then there is too much bass in the mix).

Very important: use each room for it's strength, don't be descouraged if it sounds "reverb-y".
The Archon studio far-fields setting is absulutely mind blowing for casual listening or detailed mixing. The low end in this room is absolutely perfect for dance music.

Another advice: don't jump quickly between rooms at least while getting to know the spaces - maybe is ok to jump between speakers in the same room. But try to stay 10-15-20 minutes with your headphones on, in the same room, on the same speakers. The level of immersion is huge and you can miss the true sound if you don't spend enough time listening just a single preset.

T
Sonnarworks with reverb
Taylor222 28.11.2020
Dont get fooled..There are no different speakers, just different amount of reverb and different eq curves..Its the same "technology" as Sonnarworks+reverb.
Headphones are also very cheaply build..
If you already have nice headphones buy Sonnarworks..If you want to feel room reflections buy Realhones vst..Its much cheaper and you will get the same results..
