Is ok for ITB compression

I believe I have too high hopes for in the box compression. Will work more with this one before final verdict though, and have not given it a fair workaround yet to get to know it. But it does not really wow me yet. And perhaps because I can get the wow from hardware, and compared to that, software just usually does not do it to me.. I find almost all software adding something that gives a (something of a)modern sound(high pitched sound that is not as organic and round to me as the original track) when processed. Most producers are ok with this, and most listeners don't know what I am talking about.. I am one of those who usually prefer the original track before software processing. But in a mix you lack glue, level, and all the other aspects that is needed for a song to stick.. And this of course you can get done pretty well with lets say VBC.. If you are ok with what software usually does, and/or don't know what I am talking about, you might be thrilled with this product :)

Estos compresores son muy utilies en el estudio. La calidad de sonido que resulta al utilizarlos es bastante buena. Los he utilizado para mezcla y finalzación en algunas producciones y estoy bastante contento.

Ich hab ja manchmal so Anflüge von "ich kauf einfach mal blind und kucke ob ichs dann wirklich gebrauchen kann".
Auf der Suche nach einem anderen Buss-Compressor als den Stock von Cubase stieß ich dann recht schnell auf diesen hier von Slate.
Und was soll ich sagen, richtig richtig gutes Plugin.
Ich nutzte eh schon auch Teile des Virtual Mix Racks von Slate und bin auch mit dem VBC nicht enttäuscht worden.
Alleine wenn ich das Plugin nur in den Master-Bus reinlade, ohne irgendwelche Settings einzustellen, merke ich deutlich wie der Mix aufgeht. Offener, klarer, irgendwie strukturierter.
Ich will gar nicht detailliert auf die einzelnen Kompressor-Typen eingehen, das würde den Rahmen sprengen und dafür gibts ja auch schon zahlreiche Rezensionen.
Aber kann sagen, dass ich das die Kompressoren sehr gerne und sehr oft im Verbund des VBC Racks benutze, einzeln aber auch nur mal auf die FG-MU Emulation zurückgreife.
Warum das? Ich feiere die Möglichkeit, von Stereo auf M/S umschalten zu können und dem Side-Signal nochmal bisschen dampf geben zu können.

Dieses Plugin bekommt definitiv eine Kaufempfehlung von mir, wie alle Plugins von Slate Digital eigentlich.
