Black Magic!
AEhrlich, 13.10.2020
This has been simply the best investment I've done along with the upgrade of the speaker monitors. (I use it with a pair of Focal Shape 50 and it gives me a near linear flat response (just a little bump of less than 1.5dB's under 120Hz) down to 40Hz(-3dB's) free of phase distortion, I also use it with a pair of Sennheiser HD800 headphones for which it gives a dead flat response)
I'm using it in a treated and in an untreated room and in both cases it delivers the same result, a clear and balanced output that I feel confident to trust.
No more guessing, what I hear and my mix decisions translate extremely accurate to other systems.

Really good piece of software
Kickname, 25.07.2020
I'm using sonarworks for quite a while now and can say that it's a really good piece of software. I did my best with the room treatment but there were still plenty of small issues here and there and sonarworks is really good at fixing them. I primarily use it on studio monitors and my headphones (which is Sennheiser HD-650) and it works great for both. 650 are pretty flat by themselves, but I still use calibration as it sounds way better to my ears. Not to mention other headphones, that I sometimes use, the difference is huge.

The only issue I've faced so far is the latency thing that systemwide version introduces from time to time, so it's better to go with vst when you use external hardware or something. Other than that software is extremely reliable and easy to use. I had zero crashes, issues, and didn't notice any bugs. The calibration tool is always super easy to use.

Also, I'd like to highlight that sonarworks support team is one of the most professional and understanding support I have ever communicated with. They are fast, polite, and most importantly helped me with my problem (that was totally my fault and didn't have to do anything with the quality of soft). So, yes, really good support.

Essential Tool for Project Studios
JChong, 13.02.2020
I shifted out of my old studio into a home studio setup recently and the acoustics in my new place wasn't great. I struggled alot with the bottom end and noticed massive notches and dips in the low and low mid range, thus I resorted to a speaker calibration software. I did a bit of research and having heard of Sonarworks from industry friends and also online reviews, I took the jump and bought it.

Delivery was prompt and came within a week of the order being placed. Instructions was clear and straightforward. I had to calibrate a couple of times to get it right but after which I was quite blown away by the results. It takes a while of getting used to the calibrated sound. But after a week of listening to various source materials, I could see how useful the software calibration was. Mixing was alot easier and i could make decisions faster in the process.

Systemwide software was useful for just getting the same listening experience out of the DAW but the only drawback was the Linear Phase mode which at times would increase its latency to up to 1 second, which was terribly annoying for watching YouTube videos as it would sound out of sync with the video.

Overall it's a good buy! Only use it if you find that after getting treatment and speaker placement you can't seem to get the sound out of your speakers.

Won't replace acoustic treatment but still good!
Tamas.V., 15.10.2020
About the software:
If you're using good headphones and want to make them sound more flat for mixing it's a 10/10 software! There is nothing much to say.
But if you're using it with your studio monitors to correct your room it's a little more tricky. If you have untreated room it will have a resonance. Sub sounds can resonate in your room, through your walls for 1-2 secs! That's why it won't matter how the software EQing it down for you it cannot change your room.
It's a great tool for measuring your room though! Then start to treat it with acoutic panels to make it closer to flat. Sonarworks should just do the finishing moves imo: 1-2dB maybe 3 correction.
Other CON for me is that I have a PC issue with it but it's a combination of DAW, PC, Sonarworks. When I close my DAW I need to reset Sonarworks a few times to get my sound back to the system from the DAW.
The XREF Mic though is something I really like! I using it all the time on Hi-hat and I like how it sounds! Can recommend trying it out if you getting it.
