When I assembled the LB-3 for the first time, my impression was that it didn’t look very stable. But after a few more tries, we “got to know each other” and I can now give a clearer review:
First impression – the stands look both decent and a bit “non-professional.”
Load capacity – despite that, each stand easily holds about 30 kg, as long as it’s properly opened and the handle is tightened all the way.
Truss – the two 150 cm pieces are extremely solid. Even when connected, there is no sagging. In fact, I already ordered another 150 cm piece to extend the span.
Construction – the adapter between the stand and the truss could use some reinforcement on both sides, since there is a bit of movement there. That’s an area where the design could be improved.
Improvements – quick bolts with butterfly nuts, or another type of fast-lock mechanism, would make assembly/disassembly much faster.
Practical load – you can safely mount six moving heads (6–7 kg each) plus two strobes (3 kg each) without issues. The setup carries them steadily.
In use – raising the load alone is tough, especially with a fully loaded truss. It’s best done by two people, and ideally the stands should come with a winch mechanism.
✅ Conclusion
The LB-3 with truss is a solid option for mobile setups, with much higher capacity than the first impression suggests. When assembled correctly, it’s reliable and sturdy, but it requires teamwork to lift and would benefit from more convenient locking and winch-based lifting mechanisms.
