Perfect with other switches
Red_Zwo, 27.07.2015
Twice I had to send the device back, because the foot switches were very hakelig and partly after the second or third kick have reacted.
On the third device was no improvement to see and therefore I looked at the switches more closely:
In the middle foot switch "Down" was actually an on / off switch installed, but would have been a "one button".
Since the foot switches are all very loud, very heavy and very humpy, I have changed all five buttons with the "Thomann PF4520 Momentary Footswitch". These 30 euros were well invested! Quiet button, for "Down" you no longer have to step 2x, everything works.

The programming can become somewhat tricky, the individual values ??of the channels are not displayed, so for example effects that are controlled at values ??between "128 and 132" sometimes are not immediately "hit" by the rotary knobs.

Also the instruction should be a little more detailed, some things you have to try to find, for example, how to program different devices "Fixtures" with different channel assignments for a scene.

In itself however one can however with the controller very much programming - and everything by foot control.

Who does not switch the switch but in my opinion a useless device, at least the three copies which I had were not applicable, especially if you want to change eg to the refrain the lighting.

Extremely loud footswitches (of "push buttons" can no longer be spoken here)
B.W., 14.07.2015
After I had a failure of one of my devices (LED Commander 16/2), I had to get a transitional solution in the short term. Only two "Stairville CLB4 Compact LED Bar 4 TriPAR" (ie a total of 8 LED spotlights, switched in pairs) should be controlled to illuminate a duo.
Compared to the LED Commander 16/2, the operation is quite simple. Fast scenes or chasers are programmed, everything works smoothly and comprehensibly. The labeling and operation of the foot switches is also logical and sensible. The whole processing is reasonable.
The foot switches work. But they are much too loud. It clicks so violently that it is impossible to think of switching over during low passages. If you want to use the device during music-free passages (for example, during the performance of a magician), you will quickly notice that the footswitches installed on the factory side are not meaningfully possible. Here, quite clearly the request to Thomann, in the future softer foot-buttons to be installed.
The device itself is a fine thing - just down to the foot switches.
