A workhorse
audiocan, 08.10.2018
This is a great interface in it's class (FocusRite Scarlett, Presonus Audiobox, Mackie Onyx, Tascam US, etc). I picked UR22 over the others because: Works at 192kHz, has midi in/outs; provides switchable external power; and it's fairly stable. Some of these features are missing in the above mentioned competitors.
Preamps are quite decent. Best thing is that the gain knob's resolution is quite high. And this thing is built like a tank.
Some negatives are: It doesn't come with a USB power, you have to buy your own; doesn't have a software interface to adjust settings or add FX digitally (other than sample rate and loopback); and I have some issues on Windows 10 on start up, sound device not defaulting to it (I have to restart the unit via it's power selection switch sometimes so the system recognizes it).
Despite it's perks and it's outdated and banal looks, it's a rather decent sounding, well-built and feature-rich workhorse. A good option in it's class.

The UR22 MK2 is well made and for my purposes for what I need it, it makes the work. I have another sound card in the studio (RME Hammerfall Multiface). The UR22 MK2 I need it outside when I do some presentations and experimental sound work.

Sehr gut verarbeitet, aber schwer
MalteHelmhold, 03.09.2019

Does what it's supposed to do
Izmotion, 16.01.2019
Fair warning: I don't use the UR22 MK2 to record.

For the price, it does everything its supposed to do. Midi works as it should, does not have compatibility problems with reaper or anything else I use, I would definitely recommend it as entry-level equipment!

Very nice price and sturdy build with neutrik.
08.06.2016
I bought this as a replacement for my m audio fast track pro and I`m not sure if it sounds any better but this one is easier to use and much more sturdy. User friendly with rubber legs makes my "telephone" type cables even of more use because they can stretch to full lenght without moving the sound card itself. Gain staging is nice and neutrik connectors realy are the best. Recommended.

Mid-entry Audio interface
YoungJack, 31.10.2018
I bought this Audio interface for homerecording porpuses.

It comes with Cubase, whis is a must if you want to home record your music, so the combo hardware+software is absolutly recommended.

But:

I dont know if it is my laptop but I had some issuses with it.
When I try to export a song wich is longer than 2 mins the software says "CPU overload" whic is not true because I was monitoring the CPU, I solved this problem with the "Live export" option.

Sometimes it pops when you are hearing music and worst it pops when you are recording wich means that the track that you just recorded has pops in it, but this happened few times, and maybe is my laptop's fault.

All in all it's a nice hardware, very usefull with a lot of features :D

Very good for the price
lupoloop, 14.08.2017
I was looking for a compact, good-quality audio interface with a low budget. And I have to say that I am not disappointed at all by the UR22. Its rugged construction and low noise are big plus points at this price, and the ability to record with very high sample rates at 24-bit resolution is perfect.

With only 2 entries you cannot play live on a big setup, but for a little home studio like me, it is perfect !
