Super Versatile High Gain Distortion
Dr Funk 26.11.2021
I was looking for a distortion pedal that could sound as close as possible to amp distortion, previously I had not found anything that quite did the job. This has got to be the best distortion I have ever heard from any pedal if you dial it in! There is such a range of sound tuning options that I was even able to get a good sound with it plugged into a small solid state amp that I only use for practice normally. It has plenty of gain and a decent output which is great at pushing the amp input - great for valves. Almost infinite tonal options with the parametric style EQ. Really impressed with the sound and the possibilities to fine tune. The other bonus is the noise gate, this can be set so that is does not interfere with decaying notes or feedback, but stops unwanted noise that you might expect with high gain settings. Absolutely great!
It can also be used at lower gain settings with high output to act as an overdrive, although there is still some mild distortion at minimum gain the boost can be used as overdrive. The only criticism is the blue LED is super bright when the pedal is switched on, and the first one I got had a power socket that was not straight- I returned it and the replacement is now.
I first considered buying the Stone Deaf Q-Boost Overdrive after seeing some great reviews of that but took a gamble and went for this instead as I wanted the higher gain. There seems to be very little review material out there on this pedal, in my opinion this pedal is a very well kept secret!

My #1 Drive
NickBierens 06.08.2020
To me, this is the only drive that comes close to the drive of an amp!
It's thick and the noise gate on it is amazing

I've combined it with the Trashy Blonde from Stone Deaf, and it sounds better than my actual marshall. I love it!

I use this drive for guitar & bass. For bassplayers: it keeps tho low end, so very useful. For guitar: this drive drives me crazy: so many different drives possible!
