A great addition to your pedalboard !!

I have heard about this pedal and watched videos of it years ago, and almost immediately I knew i'd want one. It gives a great range of distorted sounds and they're just astonishing - big, fat distortion for lead stuff or screamy, crunchier stuff for your rhythm parts - just great ! The three typec of voicing are also very good as they give you more variety in finding your sound. Otherwise, the pedal is well made, been using it very often at gigs, combining it with my vox AC-30 and it just gives an incredible sound.

The best pedal I have owned

I have been waiting to get my hands on one of these for a very long time. It just has so many sounds and is built very well. It is a nice size as well. The riot can be used for nearly any rock song but it works best when there is a lot of gain needed. It has some crazy sounds in it and would work well for any rock guitarist. Outstanding pedal and worth every penny. I bought the clones of this and they were ok but nothing near the original! I also have the sheeba drive which is a lot more reserved and mellow than this. The two aren't very a like and if you are looking for some great sounds than this is the pedal for you!

Excellente distorsion pour un son principal

J'ai pu tester plusieurs pédales de distorsion et j'ai mis du temps pour trouver le son que je recherchais. Je connais bien la marque Suhr car j'ai déja des guitares de cette compagnie et la qualité est au rendez-vous. Suhr a pu faire également de très bons amplis, c'est ce qui m'a décidé à acheter cette pédale. En complément de boosters, je voulais avoir une pédale pour un son principal "lead".

Je suis vraiment très content du rendu général, le réglage est simple avec à gauche un drive pour le niveau de distorsion, à droite un bouton de volume et en en bas un tone. J'aurais préféré comme sur d'autres modèles de pédales deux boutons pour la tonalité permettant un réglage bass et treble mais bon ce seul bouton tone fait bien son travail. Il y a également un Switch voice de trois positions de gauche à droite permettant d'avoir différents grain au niveau de la sortie. Le réglage est très facile et j'ai obtenu exactement le son "lead" que je voulais.

Cette distorsion est très chaude et claire, elle est aussi très polyvalente car on peut passer d'un son crunch blues à un son métal. J'ai déjà vu sur des forums certaines personnes qui se plaignaient d'avoir un peu trop de souffle lorsqu'on utilisait le drive au maximum. Je pense que cela dépend de ce qu'on utilise avec comme le de jack, l'alimentation et le type de micro. Je n'ai vraiment pas ce type de problème même avec une stratocaster avec micro simple et un drive assez poussé. J'utilise de bons câbles et une bonne alimentation, ça a aussi son importance.

Pour résumer un son clair, puissant et équilibré, chaque note est agréable à jouer, j'en suis très content, c'est exactement la distorsion que je j'attendais!
