Awesome distortion pedal!
marius_b 22.09.2017
I wanted a good and crispy distortion pedal and I watched some reviews on internet. I like it and it sounds better in reality! Suhr always do good quality products and they did it again now. I use the pedal for more aggressive solos.

Wunderbar!!!
Anonymous 23.10.2014
The sound and level of distortion are very similar to my ENGL tube amp - which i love.

I bought this pedal not really knowing how it would sound "in the flesh", but Pete Thorn did an excellent review of both the 'RIOT' and the 'SHIVA' on Youtube and i've also heard Guthrie Govan take it through its paces, so that was good enough for me!

Buy with confidence, you won't be disappointed!

Pedals 4 times cheaper can sound as good as this and better.
Marshall363 30.11.2014
I was searching for a good solid overdrive pedal that would act like an amp, and something that would sound something like a classic marshall. I was bored of buying cheap pedals and finding the right tone, so I thought that I would invest in a expensive pedal that could last me forever and my days with buying pedals would be over. I was searching in forums, reading reviews, watching videos for a long time like half a year to find the right pedal (we don't have many pedals that I can try at my local store). There was almost non bad review about this pedal that i could find.
I was convinced that this is a pedal for me.
So I got it, and ''voala'' I didn't like it. It looks cool, everything is sturdy and the quality is very good especially the switch, but the sound...It is really compressed, that makes it not hear chord rhythm when you play, it doesn't have that cool crunch, in the band you really don't hear the details. I think it lacks a little bit of the low end, and there is this one ear piercing frequency and with one tone knob i can't solve these issues. It really don't have that full punchy marshally sound, it feels a bit transperent.
I gave it a time to so I can play around with it.
I am not saying that the pedal is bad, but for the 200 euros I really waited for something that would send me shivers down my spine. I like the way it sustains and fades away. I mainly use it with a low gain setting cause than I can still hear the the details.
For my main OD pedal I use Marshall jackhammer, for me it works much better and is much cheaper and more versatile.
If you have the money buy it, just saying that there is cheaper quality pedals too.

Best distortion pedal on the planet!
Anonymous 06.07.2015
I have tried and tested so many different distortion pedals with my rig (Vox AC30C2 and Fender Telecaster), but could never really find one that sounded transparent enough and not alter the base tone of my rig. That is until I bought the Suhr Riot Reloaded! I had tried the original Suhr Riot and liked it, but the Reloaded is a massive step into modern rock territory and that's what I was really after. I am playing modern alt rock such as Biffy Clyro, Muse, Lower Than Atlantis etc, and as well as having loads of gain on tap, it is voiced just in the right range to sit well in a band mix, and is very quiet in operation. I mainly use the pedal in the middle position for a nice full sound, but also like the other 2 modes for different things. Putting my AC30 through a 4x12 with V30's and there's all the bottom end and power you could need! Awesome!
