shocked and expected a lot more
Annoyed and depressed. 08.01.2022
Honestly If you are reading this i would not buy these.

they sound very muddy hollow and cheap. I have heard ten euro ear buds that sound twice as good as this. decent stereo separation and imaging and decent sound isolation, but honestly i listened to an album I knew quite well to get a feel for these and it was simply bad. I could contuine on for paragraphs using fancy words like tonality and stuff but its a simple fact, these are bad and they made me think back fondly to ten quid headphones I used to buy in supermarkets.

The reason I got these to try or as a second set of headphones was as I tried my friends pair of Superlux HD-681 open back headphones and was amazed at the sound, comfort and just fell in love with them especially at the price point, and thought these might be similar or use the same audio driver as they have the same basic/rough look to them but in my preferred closed back style of headphone but no. honestly these sound awful. go get the Superlux HD-681 and you will be happier with a less sore head.

Also was shocked when I learnt there is no adjustment in the headband what so ever, garish colour that is worse in real life but in a kinda cool way, the colour is offensive. Packaging decent accessories had a long cable and a short cable. though I don't think anyone would use these headphones long enough to go trough two cables. headband not being adjustable was the big killer for me. I guess I have a large head but never had a pair of headphones just not fit me like these didn't ? as well as that the plastic was light and cheap the rubber floating bits on the headband that press against your head is very cheap and flimsy.

honestly do not buy. the open backed superlux sound better and fit much better.

Not exactly what I expected!

I bought these as a monitor set for recording. Firstly the colour was grey and not the bright orange I had ordered. They look quite ugly in grey. However that is only superficial. They most certainly do not have the look of a high quality set of headphones. Have a very plastic feel. They are kind of heavy and you would not wear for long periods of time. That's kind of where the bad points end.
The quality of sound is excellent. Perfect for recording. They isolate the sound enough to prevent over spill into the mic.
Overall good headphone for the job and good value for money.

Lasting Quality

These headphones are proving themselves to be very durable after heavy-handed use in sessions. The headband design means that there is no plastic that could crack when stretching. A very neat feature is that these headphones don't require you to adjust the sizing for your head. They have some sort of elastic mechanism that fits your head as you put them on.

These headphones sound very flat and accurate. Would be great for mixing and also monitoring during sessions. Although some people who use them casually might be put off by the lack of bass.

I would recommend these over the Sony MDR-7506s as the frequency response is more pleasing and these headphones are more comfortable.
