Ich bin kein Profimusiker, mir fehlen bißchen die Fachausdrücke, aber ich bin begeistert von dieser Snare und versuche das mal zu beschreiben:
Ich spiele ein Set mit einem sehr warmen Sound, tief gestimmt und komplett ungedämpft. Die Spotted Gum passt perfekt dazu. Ich kann diese Snare im tiefen Bereich spielen ohne sie dämpfen zu müssen. Sie hat eher wenig Obertöne, aber sie klingt nicht abgeschnitten oder gepresst, sondern wunderschön bauchig und voll. Trotzdem hat sie ausreichend Attack, der aber nicht scharf oder knallend ist.
Mit Dämpfung wird sie satter, im sehr tiefen Bereich kann man sie auch zu eher dumpfem, fetten Klang stimmen, auch das kann sie gut.
Ich würde sagen, diese Snare ist sehr, sehr vielsetig und für sehr viele Musikstile geeignet.

Ich hab sie meist ungedämpft im mitteltiefen Bereich gespielt. Sie klingt wunderbar kompakt, aber trotzdem warm und bauchig, ohne den Klang zu pressen. Sie macht Spaß zu spielen, sie ist dynamisch und lebendig. Sie hat einfach die absolut perfekte Mischung aus warmen Grundton, Attack und wenig Obertönen.

Nach einem Jahr kann ich sagen, ich bin immer noch begeistert. Ich liebe diese Snare.
