Don't go for any run of the mill slipmat with "funky" prints. With the original techincs slipmat you know what you're getting. The touch is perfect for deejaying. Not too slippery like Butter Rugs or such but slippery enough, and not as sticky as many cheap flashy slipmats. Ok, if you're a scratch maniac and don't deejay as a deejay, that is to say a disc jockey who plays records maybe you'd rather buy Butter Rugs or other megaslippery slipmats. But if you dj out, your friends will be annoyed with your too slippery slipmats. So have some common decency and choose these instead. The color is no the dopest. In hindsight I'd have bough some other color. There no bad though. The design is classic, but true, if I'd see these for the first time I probably wouldn't be stoked. There are probably other good slipmats out there but all others that I've bought haven't compared with technics originals. So yeah, you won't see me sporting any other brand of splimts anytime soon. Also these last really well. The center hole doesn't get loose and the fabric stands the test fo time. I'd recommend these for all sorts of deejays.
