Excellent for its price!

If you are looking for a podcast microphone to work in the frame, for a video podcast, the t.bone BC 500 will be a good choice with a limited budget.
Its appearance and quality of execution do not raise questions - everything is cool.
The microphone capsule is used both in Universal Audio SD-1 and Music Villa MV3, as well as the equalizer switches on the back panel.
However, the UAD tuned their microphone a little better in sound, while Music Villa MV3 most likely lives inside the t.bone BC 500. It is known that the company t.bone makes microphones in Chinese factories.
This is a good chance, with proper quality, not to overpay for the brand!
By sound, this is a normal dynamic podcast microphone! I didn't regret buying it!

One of the best mics for a fraction of money. This thing is solid and quality is awesome, especially when you remember the price. You don`t need something more expensive for streams, podcasts, dubbing etc. Boy, i literally recorded an album with it.

Zeer bruikbaar voor beginnende podcasters, je krijgt al snel het sm7b gevoel met deze mic.
Maar niet zou rijk als het echte model, vanaf ik heb begon te gebruiken in de een mix, vertaalde hij wat moeilijk.

KEIN SM7B ... TROTZDEM OK

Da war ich neugierig, weil ich schon oft mit dem SHURE-SM7B eingesungen habe...

Das t-bone-BC-500 trifft die Grundidee als Broadcast Mikrofon gut, und wenn es nur um Sprache geht, dann hatte ich manchmal das Gefühl, dass ich das t-bone-BC-500 dem SHURE-SM7B vorziehen würde.

Beim Ein-Singen und anschließendem einpassen in einen MIX.
Da hatte das Shure-SM7B deutlich die Nase vorne.
Da wo das t-bone-BC-500 deutlich verwaschener klingt, und nur wenig Höhenzeichnung hat, macht das Shure-SM7B genau was man vermisst.
Das Shure klingt lebendiger, offener. Auch die Bassabsenkung / Höhen Anhebung des t-bone-SC-500 ändert daran nichts. Das t-bone klingt immer ein wenig wie Ketchup-Majo. Das Shure-SM7B ist dann schon eher eine ordentlche Pizerria.

Wer eine gewisse Leichtigkeit/Lebendigkeit, auch in der Sprecherststimme hören will, wird mit dem SM7B glücklicher sein. Das Shure-SM7B ist nicht ohne Grund ein Klassiker.

Fakten-Fazit:
Das BC-500 ist kein SM-7B. Es ist in seiner Preisklasse trotzdem ein ordentliches Podcast / Broadcast Mikrofon. Abschließend möchte ich noch anmerken, dass das Shure-SM7B extrem anfällig ist Trittschall in den Signalweg zu übertragen. Das BC-500 ist -lustigerweise extrem Trittschall unempfindlich.

Persönliches-Fazit:
Mir persönlich gefällt das BC-500 nicht so sehr, eben weil es einen sehr verwaschenen Klangeindruck abliefert. Es gibt günstigere dynamische Mikrofone, die mir deutlich besser gefallen.
