Great choice for a portable broadcast mixer

Attila Soos, 15.07.2018
It is used for small TV broadcasting operations and web streaming.
Best of all it's straightforward and easy to use, has a clean, uncluttered interface, making it a breeze to start working in seconds. It has the basic features to do an entry-level budget job.
Pros:
- it has RTA - something that I found while exploring the device, but was not written in the manual. It seems to be a new addition in the firmware. Really nice feature!
- good preamps, nice sound, nice faders and a good reaction to commands.
- AES/EBU out and S/PDIF in/out are great features usually find on more expensive devices.
- USB playback and REC are a plus. It even plays back FLAC!
- good materials, the mixer seems that it is going to last. Bought it in case combo, by the way the case is a good one as well.
Cons:
- there is no physical knob for monitor level control, I was not happy to go through menus to find it. Maybe it should be assigned to main knob when not used for something else. A future software release might solve this.
- the oscillator is "hidden" in the Monitor menu, it would be nicer if they called it "Utilities" or similar.
- the navigation through settings and menus is forcing a little bit the limits of logic, but Yamaha also does it and we still love it ;)
- I had one single app crush when doing settings in Patch menu, the mixer app went off and came back. I was never able to reproduce the crush again, no matter how manny times I tried to do it.
Finally, I am very glad that I bought it. Definitely a lot of bang for the buck, you won't find anything similar in this price tag. It will be fun to explore the options inside! Still, don't expect it to be a Lawo 66 ;)))

The t.mix DM 20 is a great device.

V-smi, 11.05.2017
The t.mix DM 20 is a new low-cost digital mixing console. In my work as a sound engineer, I had to work on different techniques, including very expensive.
To try this mixer was very interesting for two reasons. The first reason is that it has great opportunities and a large number of channels. The second reason is the small cost of the mixer. The mixer justified all my expectations. The sound quality is at an excellent level. The faders are large, smooth and comfortable. The touch panel works great. In general, everything is very convenient for work. Understand the management can be even without a manual, everything is very intuitive. Pleased with the purchase. This mixing console now works in the theater and is used for performances and live concerts on the stage of the theater. To work on the t.mix DM 20 is also convenient and comfortable as on expensive professional devices. There is one inconvenience to me this is the lack of a remote control application for Android devices. However, there is such an application for iOS devices.
