A decent enough product

This product is ok.
Its fold-up feature is nice for storage.

The padding is a bit cheap and I though like most "ah sure, it looks practically the same as the sE one. I'll get this and save a few quid".
Well, I eventually sold this on privately after getting the sE RFPro as there was a noticeable difference when I got the sE.
OK, it wasnt a humongous difference, but as your ears get more experienced you begin to learn what to listen for. The sE to my ears sounded a bit more natural and for me worked better in my treated room.

Better than the sE even, is if you can get a few duvets hung up around the singer, then this is 99% of the time your best option. But this requires physical space, time, and duvet storage which most of us dont have readily available.
This is an ok product at best, but the more expensive option is more expensive for a reason - the sE is just a better product. This is one of those cases where you do indeed "pay for what you get".

It's pretty clunky and not very easy to use. It works... but you need to mess with it for a bit longer than I expected to get everything in a good position. The "wings" often close on themselves and are not very stable.

This would work for quick recordings, but if you're looking for a high quality product, then I'd recommend looking for something a bit more substantial.

Not that happy with this product, something that is pretty unusual and maybe the first time that I'm not that happy with a product purchased from Thomman.

Let me explain:

The build quality is average, the center mechanism that holds both parts together is kind of flimsy and does show that it will have some problems soon. I'd say this is one of its weaknesses, the hinge on the center. It doesn't open both parts symmetrically.

Second, it's maybe a bit small than what I expected. I should have gone for a larger model, although I'm not sure that it was available at the time - or now for that matter.

The center metal support that holds the mic suspension is also of weak quality, it's also flimsy and difficult, if not impossible, to actually center the mic on the micscreen. It seems even to be bent or dislodged from its original position.

Overall I'm not that excited with this product. I know it was cheap and I didn't buy a replacement, I keep on using it, but if it was today, I'd rather buy something better, of higher build quality.

It serves its purpose though, and for that I give average three stars. If you need a budget option, it's good, but if you have the extra money to spend, look on the Thomas store for better options.

While it is not the best option to separate sound sources within a recording room, it sure helps a lot.
Especially for a home studio or an improvised recording space with acoustically untreated walls, this micscreen comes in handy.

The only problem I see is with the complicated way of fixing it to a mic stand. Also, after extended usage (of about 1.5 years) it began to loose its stability and it falls slightly on a side. Although I took good care of it and the conditions in which I used it were not extreme, the foam wall began to come apart from the metal casing on the upper side.

Okay, but the build quality needs some work.

This micscreen has improved my recordings no end, though the design is hardly elegant. It can be a pain to set up and is VERY heavy when on a mic stand with a mic. It's liable to falling over, which brings me to the second issue, which is the tiny screws used to hold this micscreen together. If some of the screws on the middle beam fall out then the whole structure of the screen goes all twisted, and makes setting this screen up even more difficult and precarious. This can (and has) happen(ed) with me, and now it's basically a big chunky lump of metal which I only use for special occasions when I really need it. If you can spare the cash, a Kaotica eyeball is a much more elegant (if more expensive) solution to this audio problem.

Sound wise, it completely eliminates room reflections and will make your vocal recordings MUCH better if you can deal with the messing about of constructing it.

Cheap but too heavy for my mic stands

Works decently, but it's weight make it difficult to operate with my mic stands.

A decent mic screen that does the job
Bread 29.07.2019
Only issue I've had with it is the fact that the mounting hardware has warped over the years from use, as the mic screen itself is quite heavy.

Remember the micscreen?

SE Electronics started this micscreen fad, and others soon followed. The idea is solid: you minimize the room reflections on a stand-mounted mic by wrapping this... thing of mesh and foam around it.

It may have its uses, and if you must have one, this t.bone version is practically as good as the original SE Electronics one. The t-bone has quality hardware, but I can be a bit of a pain to set up, it has quite a lot of loose parts that must be screwed on.

That said, if you record in a tiled bathroom, this thing could make your recordings sound a bit more intelligible.

Nusipirkai ji naudoti su Rode NT2-A. Deja, firminis Rode laikiklis yra ilgesnis ir netinka originaliam tvirtinimui. Man teko perdaryti ekrano laikikli, pakelti ji, kad mikrofonas atsidurtu ekrano viduryje.
Be to, as megstu mikrofonus kabinti auktyn kojomis. Tokiu atveju, mikrofonas ant laikiklio laikosi pakabintas zemyn tik ant gumines tarpines. Kol kas nieko neatsitiko, bet visada nemaloniai jauciuosi, kai zinau, jog netycia atsisukus laikiklio paaukstinimo reguliatoriui, mikrofonas gali nukristi ant zemes.
