A high-performance all-rounder

The AK-X1100 is a fully equipped and high-performance keyboard that features an impressive 1100 sounds and a 256-voice polyphony. This instrument can be used both to play demo songs and to record your own tracks, and it also allows extensive editing of sounds and styles. The integrated digital effects allow lively sounds to be created and specific features to be accentuated. The keyboard features 61 velocity-sensitive keys, and connections for the optionally available footswitches are located on the back, which means that the AK-X1100 is suitable not only for advanced keyboard players who appreciate a diverse sound selection, but also for beginners who are looking for an extensive range of practice options to make rapid progress when studying the instrument.

Individual control

The AK-X1100 offers numerous options for customised operation. For example, three knobs and three switches can be assigned functions, which makes it possible to implement a filter sweep live. Instead of a modulation wheel, this model features a joystick to which a wide variety of parameters can be allocated, and the performance pads are used to generate specific sounds in a certain rhythm. A microphone can be connected to the back of the unit so that the user can sing along to the tracks during a performance. The microphone signal, along with the sound of the AK-X1100, is then either routed through the internal speakers or sent to external speakers via the Line Out ports. The keyboard can also control the plug-ins of a DAW via a USB-to-host connection - and this includes virtual instruments such as synthesizers.

For practice and performance

The AK-X1100 is suitable for both beginner and advanced keyboard players, all of whom will find extensive control options and a variety of sounds with this keyboard. For example, it also includes 45 drum kits in addition to the 1100 onboard sounds. All sounds and functions are selected on the clearly arranged 7" colour display. Using the Split function, the keyboard can also be divided into two zones, so that two different sounds can be played. If desired, players can connect a sustain pedal and an expression pedal on the back, which can then be used to control assignable parameters. In addition to the MIDI input and output, the AK-X1100 can also receive MIDI data wirelessly via Bluetooth. When playing demo songs, one part per hand can be activated or deactivated individually, which allows practice sessions to be structured in a flexible manner.

About Thomann digital pianos

Thomann-brand instruments, which are exclusively built by renowned manufacturers, now constitute a large part of Thomann’s product range alongside numerous big-name brands. With unbeatable price-performance ratios, Thomann digital pianos are the obvious first choice for students and beginners – and others too. The technical features and uncompromising sound quality they offer are usually reserved for much more expensive instruments found in the professional market segment.

Sonic versatility for every performance

The AK-X1100 can be used to play an immense variety of sounds. These are divided into twelve banks so that individual sounds can be found quickly. Pianos, electric pianos, organs, accordions, guitars, basses, strings, saxophones, and brass instruments are all available. In addition, electronic leads, pads, and sound effects can also be found in the keyboard. The Favorite function allows players to store their most frequently used sounds so that these can be recalled at the drop of a hat during a performance. With the Chord function, entire chords can be played, and players can also define their own styles in the sequencer by setting quantisation and velocity, among other parameters. If individual sounds are edited, envelope, equaliser, and insert effects can be set here, and a harmony effect or arpeggiator can also be assigned to them.
