grab it and play it

i had but a few hours to spend at thomann's, the temple of music in europe. i wanted an instrument to expand the sound horizons for upcoming live events related to meditation. of course i tried the wooden native american flute first, but i was disappointed by the weak sound it produces... so i tried this plastic one, without too much expectations... and, wow, i was stunned! loud, beautiful, round and clear sounds coming from the flute i was trying, blowing gently into it... checked the pentatonics, the notes fell perfectly in the scale. i decided to buy exactly that flute, not a "new" one from the stock, and off i went... several days after, the flute offered me and the audience magical moments. it is a reliable instrument, not only sounding great but also looking great. it is very well built and at a a very affordable price.

mind that the label on the flute could indicate a wrong key. check with a tuner or something, before you buy. on my flute it was written "G", but actually mine is F#m (pentatonic)... may be you can adjust the wooden bird attached to the flute, in order to change the key, but i'm reluctant to change the original setting. however, the key should not be an issue for a working musician, you simply adapt the comping instruments to the flute, not vice-versa.

the only thing that i don't like is the fact that the moisture (saliva) builds up inside and the sound gets muffled for extending playing. one needs to shake (gently) the flute, mouth piece downwards, in order to get rid of the accumulated liquid inside...
