I've been playing rico orange box 2 1/2 reeds for a couple of years. This is my first box of vandoren reeds, they are a bit stiffer than the rico, and make the embouchure work harder. The sound seems a bit softer but more complex. High notes seem a little easier. Used one for a 2 hour rehearsal - none of my fellow band members noticed!

La réponse est satisfaisante. Le son est rond, chaud et l'anche travaille bien sur toute sa longueur. Seul bémol à mon avis, la dureté n'est pas régulière d'une anche à l'autre; ainsi il arrive qu'une n°2,5 soit plus souple qu'une n°2. Il est cependant possible de rectifier en alternant les périodes de jeu et de repos de l'anche voire en jouant -avec beaucoup de précautions- du coupe-anches.

Einige gehen sofort gut los, andere muss man erst über eine Woche einspielen bevor sie ihre Vorzüge entfalten. Direkter, zentrierter Ton in allen Registern, ohne Pressen und anderen Kieferverrenkungen kommt der Ton sauber, ohne dicht zu machen oder zu pfeifen.
