I like these ligatures for ease of use, durability and flexibility. Plates are a good thing, not necessarily for the sound but just to make sure it gets the reed seal no matter how it’s warped. The screw is great because it punches both sides symmetrically. My go to ligature.

Hab die Vandoren Optimum, die Rover Versa einen "Eigenbau" und eine alte einfache Metallblattschraube getestet.
Die Vandoren und die Rover sind beide echt gut. Sie unterscheiden sich nur durch den Charakter sehr geringfügig.
Ich habe mir letztlich für die Vandoren Optimum entschieden, da sie minimal durchsetzungsstärker zu spielen ist und die Ansprache beim Stakato etwas besser ist. Das ist im Orchester passender.
Die Rover ist dafür minimal weicher und wärmer im Klang. die passt für die kleine Besetzung etwas besser.
Die Unterschiede sind wirklich sehr gering.
Die unterschiedlichen Andruckplatte funktionieren bei beiden gut.
Die Andrückplatte war zunächst immer etwas schief, das hat sich aber schnell hingezogen, also kein Mangel.
Im Vergleich zu der einfachen Blattschraube ist die Vandoren um Längen besser. Mein Eigenbau ist ähnlich wie die Rover zu spielen.
Die Vandoren Optimum ist sehr empfehlenswert für den Orchesterbetrieb.
