Makes a Sax out of your Clarinet

With a tip opening close to an alto sax, you get great pitch flexibility coupled with an open sound, given you drop couple of sizes in reeds compared to what you use with your classical mouthpiece, think like 0.75 - 1.5 Rigottis

Testé avec une anches 1,5 Vando bleue ligature optimum.

Très bonne impression, expressivité et tonicité des attaques, puissance.
.
Attention c'est vraiment un grand changement lorsqu'on vient d'un bec standard de 110/115 d'ouverture : trop pour moi, je me rabat sur un 5JB qui correspond mieux à mes préférences (ouverture / dureté d'anche ).

Sehr gutes Mundstück

Ich spiele einige, wenige Stücke mit der Klarinette, in einem Jazz- Oktett mit Vocals, Trompete, Posaune und zwei Saxophonen im Bläsersatz, Rhythmusgruppe mit Gitarre, Bass, Drums und . Mit den klassischen, engen Mundstücken hört man immer nur die obere Oktave. Das Vandoren Profile 88 Bb Clarinet 7JB funktioniert für mich sehr gut. Endlich hört man auch ohne Mikro die untere Oktave. Ich spiel das Mundstück mit 1er bzw. 1,5er Vandoren Blättern und es kommt richtig was raus. Dabei bleibt der Ton von der Intonation und vom Sound her immer sehr gut kontrollierbar. Natürlich kann man keinen reinen klassischen Sound erwarten. Dazu ist der Ton doch zu offen. Es geht vom Ansatz her eher in Richtung Saxophon. Dabei kommt mir als Saxophonisten das 88 Profil sehr entgegen. Ein Wechsel von der Klarinette zum Sax oder wieder zurück geht für mich nahtlos. Ich hatte auch das 5JB zur Probe mitbestellt. Der Sound ist für Jazz sehr gut aber für meinen Einsatzbereich zu leise. Ich bleibe beim 7JB. Die Verarbeitung ist Vandoren typisch sehr gut.
