I really liked those sticks. I am used to SD 10 Swinger. I try out different now, and these were among the best.

After trying out many of the Vic-Firth signature models, I came across these Dave Weckl Evolution sticks which offer the rebound needed for executing double strokes with the lightness to play faster passages.

Hallo allerseits,

habe wiederholt den Vic Firth SDW2N Dave Weckl Signature bestellt und spiele ihn überwiegend bei konzertanter synphonischer Blasmusik. Die Sticks sind aber durchaus auch härteren Ansprüchen gewachsen.

Das Gewicht der Sticks ist paarweise abgeglichen und liegt bei meinen Exemplaren zwischen 49 g und 54 g.
Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Der tonnenförmige Nylonkopf erzeugt einen sauberen, hellen Cymbal-Sound. Die Holzköpfe der SDW2 klingen insgesamt etwas weicher/ wärmer, aber auch weiniger definiert im Anschlag.
