Nice and Light

I bought these sticks as I was looking for some thin, light sticks to use for playing at a lower volume in a small church room. The quality is great as you would expect from Vic Firth and they feel really nice in the hand. The response on both skins and cymbals is great and, unlike heaver sticks, you can really tease the lighter tones out of both without having to hold back too much.

I wouldn't recommend these for heavier playing as I doubt they'd hold up for too long but that's not what they're designed for. I don't use these for Jazz playing predominantly myself but they suit the more gentle style of playing that I need to use in an enclosed space.

Great stick, great price.

If you fancy a change from the the typical Vic Firth 5A or 7A. Look no further and give the Vic Firth American Jazz 5 drum stick a shot. The Vic Firth AJ5 is the thinnest drum stick in the Vic Firth Catalogue. Based on a timbale stick design, the AJ5 will be extremely useful and versatile for a wide range of musical genres.

The lightest sticks I've ever used.

The lightest sticks I've ever used, great feel, comfortable in play and allow expressive flare and finess.

These sticks are great for Jazz, and for symbol time.

If you're playing rock, use another stick, these are light and nimble, and benefit from a gentle touch.

Nice light quality sticks

Great Vic Firth quality in light sticks. I use a variety of different sticks, 5A, 7A etc and now these great AJ5s.

These sticks are well balanced and fast, allowing me to play comfortably at lower volumes when necessary.

Recommended for quiet acoustic gigs (or practice).
