the missing link to play electric guitar through a P.A. system
Driftwood 28.08.2022
As I mentioned in my review of the Walrus ACS1, I am from the past. In most situations where I used to play, only the vocals went through the P.A. system. Now I live in a time and place where most of my opportunities to play live are in pubs or festivals where you're expected to run everything straight into the P.A. system. Took me a while to figure out, but a lot of the rhythm, lead, and steel guitar sounds I want to make can now be coaxed from little analog and digital boxes on a pedalboard. The Canvas Stereo is the missing link I needed at the end of the chain (tuner plus Greer Lightspeed, Carbon Copy, Fender Tre-Verb, Walrus ACS1 for example), and the result is brilliant. I miss the amps, but at least I get to play live again.

device is perfect for pairing with acs1. it represents the sound coming from my board much better then regular radial DI and has much more overall headroom when theres is a lot of dist and verb. its super easy to carry because its a small stereo unit and also sound is much more close to warmy amp sound than with radial cause it sounds more on the digital side then canvas.
Overall thoughts - just what i needed to finish up my board !

Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo
Arsen_Saryyev 31.01.2024
Pros:

1. Sound quality: the sound of the Canvas Stereo is top notch. Clean, rich and with a wide stereo space.

2. Construction and design: the case is sturdy, quality materials, and the controls are conveniently located. The design is attractive and easy to use.

3. Stereo Base Functionality: the Canvas Stereo creates a spatial sound, which is especially useful for recording and live performance. It opens up new horizons in creativity.

Cons:

1. Price: probably above average price, but considering the sound quality and functionality, it's justified.

Conclusion:

The Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo is a great choice for those who value sound quality. While the price may be above average, these additional features justify every penny spent. I recommend this product for experienced musicians looking to expand their sound arsenal.

Great design, very reliable

I can only say good things about this DI Box / Line Isolator. I use it with my Iridium setup and literally no preamp gain is required to have decent volumes thus signal to noise ratio is really lowered to minimum.

The only improvement would be the SUM switch for XLR outs so you can have your stereo setup and not worry about the number of available inputs on the PA.
