Superb underrated mouthpiece

I bought this to go with my new Yamaha YAS62 and surprise, surprise it goes really well. Overall, I would say it is now one of my top 3 favourite mouthpieces and I own and have played on quite a few. It is similar in many ways to the Selmer S80, just not quite as good in response - but then it costs quite a bit less. It has a lovely clean, bright (but not shrill) tone and both the lowest and highest notes are achieved without difficulty. It is a little more resistant than the Selmer S80 C*, but you just need to try different reeds. I find Vandoren Blue 2 1/2 or Java Red 3's work best. Enjoy!

Ich muss gestehen, ich habe nicht sehr lange auf diesem Mundstück gespielt, deswegen fällt es mir schwer, etwas zum Sound zu sagen. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte ich auch noch keine Ahnung, in welches Genre ich gehen würde.

Die Ansprache war super. 6er Bahnöffnung und eine lange offene Bahn. Etwas härtere Blätter lassen sich hier wunderbar spielen.
Die Verarbeitung ist auch super, keine Kratzer, sehr symetrisch.

Ich hatte mich für deses Mundstück entschieden, weil ich auf einem Yamaha 4C angefangen habe. Hier hat man eine grössere Öffnung und auch das bessere Material.

Für jemanden, dem eine 4er Öffnung schnell zu "klein" wird, kann ich dieses Mundstück empfehlen, bevor er sein liebling gefunden hat.

Ich habe das Mundstück zusammen mit dem günstigen Thomannaltsaxophon gekauft und bin total begeistert. Ich habe nach einer langen Pause (10 Jahre) das erste mal wieder Saxophon gespielt und nach zwei wochen kontinuierlichen Spielens bin ich stolz auf meinen sound. Ich nutze sehr weiche Blätter (1,5) und hatte mit dieser Kombination von Anfang an eine gute Ansprache und ein angenehmes Spielgefühl.

Eine sehr gute Alternative zum sonst üblichen 4C Mundstück von Yamaha. Nachdem diese Bahn aber schon weit offen und lang ist, benötigt man deutlich mehr Luft zum Spielen. Ist aber kein Problem man gewöhnt sich daran. Der Sound ist auf jeden Fall um einiges lauter als beim Standardmundstück.
