Fantastic Bass for stage, not so for much for silent practice
RBass 20.07.2020
The SLB 300 silent Bass has new electronics which better match a real double bass.. at least thats what the hype is saying. I bought one and this is what I found.

Pros. I had seen the few youtube clips with the SLB 300. I was really keen to get a better sounding Electric upright bass. I play rockabilly / Rocknroll and had been practicing with the SLB100 and The Stagg EDB over the last 15 years. Both these electric uprights sound Ok ish but nothing like a proper Upright bass. In the youtube clips everyone was saying how good the SLB 300 sounds. Well, I can confirm that the sound is really as good as they say. If you are looking for an electric upright, you must at least test a SLB 300. Although very expensive, they sound really great. Very like the real thing.
Cons. I have the SLB 100 for some years but was always disappointed with the sound. The SLB 100 was great for silent practice so that neighbours wouldn't be disturbed. The reason why the SLB 100 is so practical, you can plug headphones direct into the instrument. In the new SLB 300 you cant. This for me was not impossible to get around, but it means that I will always need extra things in order to practice with headphones. Its just disappointing.

Meilleure contrebasse électrique
TheOnlyMaX 27.11.2021
