Danny Turner is a music technology writer and journalist with more than 20 years’ experience writing about music, musicians and the gear they use. Throughout that time, he’s written hundreds of interviews, reviews and features for a variety of publications including Future Music, MusicTech and Electronic Musician, while also creating content for brands such as Roland, Ableton, Spitfire Audio and Native Instruments.
His passion for music journalism began with his own fanzine, which he launched and sold through Tower Records (remember them?). Since then, he’s interviewed many of his musical heroes, visited countless studios and discovered how musicians use technology creatively, from iconic instruments and classic recording techniques to the latest gear. Most importantly, he aims to pass on what he’s learned from the musicians, producers and mastering engineers he’s met, turning their knowledge and experience into useful, educational and inspiring content for other musicians.
