It's really convenient to build it in second and light a person with a soft and consistent light, works really well on both 300d and 600d.

Die Aputure Lantern gehört bei Filmemachern eigentlich zur Standardausrüstung. Hiermit lässt sich eine tolle Raumausleuchtung gewährleisten und sie ist sogar super als Keylight einsetzbar. Der Unterschied zu einem Schirm ist gar nicht mehr so groß, wenn man sie in Richtung Protagonist richtet. Der Aufbau ist dabei denkbar einfach: Man drückt das Ende der Laterne auf den Boden und spannt damit in Sekunden die Kugel auf.

Meine einzige Kritik wäre, dass sich hier schwierig Farbfilter verwenden lassen und die Streben der Laterne keine Führung besitzen. Die Streben sitzen nicht exakt auf der Naht auf, was lediglich eine optische Sache ist. Schöner wäre es, wenn da auch noch Laschen die Laterne in Form halten würden. Ansonsten: SUPER Produkt und sehr gute Preis Leistung!

This has been an all round welcome addition to my kit, and sits nicely on my Amaran 100d.

It's incredibly easy to both set-up and collapse, taking just a handful of seconds due a simple pop-and-lock method.

Having said that, this comes at the cost of storage. While incredibly lightweight, it's the same volume as a hefty tripod. Fortunately it comes with its own bag. It doesn't look out of place when thrown on top of my tripod bags for transit (just make sure you put it on top!).

It does come with a skirt, which I've had no need to use. While it doesn't look quite as elegant when attached, I do appreciate the ease of setup.
