Very low tension yet defined sound

I bought only the E string to go with a set of weedwacker strings, and as expected it is much better and defined sounding than a .170" weedwacker while being nearly the same tension. The plastic ball ends (1.5 cm diameter) are a little obtrusive at the tailpiece, and after installing I noticed a couple of rough spots (like manufacturing defects) on the string which I sanded down.
