Great guitar but poor quality

Guitar feels and plays great. Great pick-ups and sound. Too bad my guitar came delivered almost like a B stock model : dents, scratches etc. Maybe Thomann next time will be more careful in their quality control. For the price I have expected to get something in a pristine condition. Also the action it's a bit high so I would advise a professional setup.

Une honte - nécessite 345€ de luthier pour rendre la guitare jouable

1ère guitare commandée en août, reçue en décembre (2021). Constat (confirmé par un luthier) :
- problème de frettes, en particulier la dernière (aigue) mal enfoncée et qui rend l'instrument injouable.
- micro bas HS
- une visse de fixation de la plaque de protection noire a éclaté le bois du corps
- sciure et poussière de bois sous la plaque de protection, au niveau des câblages

Guitare repartie chez Thomann qui confirme le constat général et m’en renvoie une autre. SAV top.

2ème guitare reçue début janvier 2022. Après quelques observations et tests de mauvaise augure, retour chez un luthier. Voici un copier-coller de son devis :
« - Instrument neuf
- présence de coulures et d'imperfections du vernis
- présence d'enfoncements sur le corps et la tête
- fortes frises sur tout le manche
- action très basse
- les frettes ne sont pas bien insérées dans la touche : présence de frettes relevées au niveau des cordes Mi (6) La (5) Ré (4)
- présence de frettes hautes, sources de frises
- présence de frette mal recouronnées suite à planification en usine, source de mauvaise intonation »

Coût de l’ensemble : 345€ TTC.
345€ pour rendre une guitare de 835€ jouable. Prix réel : 1180€.

On va arrêter le massacre et annuler la commande. Quelle déception. Quelle honte d’une marque comme Charvel.

Amici, dopo aver visto il video promo del nuovo modello Charvel di Joe, ho deciso che avrei dovuto acquistarlo.

Una volta effettuato l'Unboxing, si ha l'idea di avere in mano una chitarra da 2000€. Le finiture in mogano del manico sono di alta qualità, la lavorazione del body e del neck sembra siano state effettuate direttamente in USA.
Devo dire che l'Indonesia è arrivata a livelli altissimi di produzione.

Pro:
Neck: E' sorprendentemente scorrevole grazie al Radius composto "12 - "16. La tastiera in ebano enfatizza ogni singola nota suonata, amalgamando tutto il suono che si produce;

Pickup: I "Di Marzio" hanno una risposta immediata e rendono cristallino ogni singolo Riff soprattutto in High Gain. Assolutamente efficace il pickup al manico, sembra che si stia splittando l'humbucker. I Clean sono ca

Body: Bellissimo visivamente e anche sonoramete.
Il colore "Natural" del body è leggermente più scuro rispresso alle immagini fornite da Thomann.

Contro:
La chitarra arriva con un action del manico un pò alto, sicuramente dovrò farlo sistemare da un liutaio.

Conclusioni:
Consiglio vivamente questo prodotto a chi cerca uno strumento che sia la fusione tra il suono di una Gibson con la forma di una Fender. Potete suonarci dal Rock a Metal in tranquillità.

Es geht um Charvel Joe Duplantier Pro-M SD ST2 NT.
Die Gitarre ist für meine Begriffe sehr gut verarbeitet. Das Holz des Halses fühlt sich äußerst angenehm an und die Gitarre liegt gut in der Hand.
Technisch ist sie schlicht gehalten, aber dafür sehr akurat (ich habe auch eine schlichte Ausstattung gesucht). 3 Wege Schalter, nur 1 Volumeregler. Die mechanischen Feinjustierungen lassen sich ohne jeglichen Aufwand vornehmen (Halskrümmung, Saitenlänge - natürlich auch der Saitenwechsel).
Die DiMarzio Pickups klingen top und sind sehr vielseitig. Ich kann sie für harten Metal, aber auch für leichten Crunch und Blues nutzen. Mir gefällt besonders der Neck-PU. Der Sound ist für höhere Tonlagen sehr fein, klar und warm. Überhaupt lassen die Tonabnehmer einen sehr differenzierten Klang zu. Clean muss man meines Erachtens etwas rumprobieren. Hier nehme ich die PUs weniger vielseitig wahr. Gute Cleansounds sind natürlich möglich (und für meine Ansprüche passt das), aber nicht jeder. Wer vor allem differenzierte Cleansounds sucht, sollte vielleicht auf ein anderes Modell zurückgreifen. Wer gerne leichte bis harte Verzerrungen spielen möchte, ist mit dieser Gitarre absolut richtig. Die Gitarre bietet viel mehr, als "nur" Joe Duplantiers Gojira-Sounds).
