Active 18" subwoofer
The EV ETX-18SP is an active 18" subwoofer with integrated DSP, limiter, and FIR filtering which is characterised by its organic and powerful sound and feels just as at home in a gig and touring context as in a permanent installation. The subwoofers of the ETX series are available in 15" and 18" sizes, and three matching 10", 12", and 15" top units are available as well. The Electro-Voice flagship series is recommended for professional musicians and bands, DJs, and organisers for all kinds of live entertainment and offers versatile technical innovations, such as the "QuickSmart DSP". These speakers are ready to take on any challenge.

Legendary sounds meets innovative technology
No compromises in sound and performance: The EV ETX-18SP has a powerful 1800-watt, particularly effective Class D power amplifier that keeps cool even in the hottest environments. For maximum punch, a DVX 18" bass speaker operates inside the 18mm thick, 13-ply, tour-ready birch plywood chassis. The maximum sound pressure level is a whopping 135dB. The frequency range is 28-180Hz with a flexible low-pass frequency at 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, or 150Hz. For the crossovers, Electro-Voice uses FIR filter technology, as found in the company's large concert speaker systems. The proprietary FIR drive design optimises the transducer's linearity for a precise, balanced sound output.

Intelligent workflow
Flexibility and workflow are very important to the ETX series: The integrated QuickSmart Pro DSP scores with intuitive menu navigation via encoder and LCD, input level control, and master volume control as well as special dispersion control technology for the subwoofers for real cardioid performance across the entire operating range. The ETX-18SP features insert and threaded combo pole cups. Two lockable XLR/jack combo sockets are available on the input side. In addition, there are two XLR link outputs for controlling speakers such as the Electro-Voice ETX-15P. The DSP offers EQ and delay adjustments as well as different presets for all possible scenarios and locations. Last but not least, the ETX-18SP comes with a convenient setup wizard that helps with setting up different top unit/subwoofer combinations.
