A thing of beauty

I have another made in Japan Fender bass that I got many years ago so I had no doubt about quality but this one is a step above in craftsmanship, it's perfect. I love the skinny frets and the dark rosewood fingerboard. The only set up I had to do was a quarter turn of the truss rod which is to be expected when any guitar has been shipped around the world. The satin finish is much nicer in person than in the photos too. It weighs ~4.25 kg which I think is around standard weight for a Jazz Bass. Every time I take it out of its case it puts a smile on my face.

Edit: forgot to mention that the gig bag it comes with might as well be made out of paper so make sure you also get a good gig bag or case.

Pros
- It's beautiful
- flawless workmanship
- versatile tones: pickups have a modern edge/bite/high-mid to them but you can roll back the tone knob to get more vintage sounds
- really comfortable to play

cons
- gig bag sucks
