G6120 mit modernen Einflüssen

Nachdem ich bereits begeisterter Besitzer von 2 Gretsch Gitarren der Streamliner-Reihe bin, habe ich schon seit längerem ein Auge auf eine „richtige“ G6120 geworfen. Abgehalten hat mich jedoch bisher die teils mäßige Praktikabilität der 6120-Modellreihe, aufgrund der Floating Bridge etc.
Mit der Players Edition habe ich nun die - für mich - perfekte Kombination aus klassischer Gretsch mit modernen Eigenschaften für eine bessere Handhabbarkeit gefunden.
Durch die Pinned Bridge und die Gotoh Locking Mechaniken ist die Gitarre sehr stimmstabil, auch bei härterer Gangart.
Dank des String-Thru Bigsby ist hier auch der Wechsel der Saiten nur noch eine Sache von Minuten.
Die Tonabnehmer haben einen hohen Output und liefern genau den typischen Twang, welchen ich mir erhofft habe.
Die gesamte Verarbeitung ist auf höchstem Niveau (teils besser als bei Custom Gitarren welche ich schon besessen habe).
Fazit: Wer eine „klassische“ Gretsch ohne Einschränkungen im praktischen Einsatz sucht, wird hier fündig.
